Lake HOdges
Obstacle Run

April 24
What should I wear? Comfortable running clothes that you do not plan to wear again. Know that you will get wet, dirty, and grimy.

Is it okay to wear costumes? Absolutely! It is highly encouraged that all would wear school colors, funny outfits, or clothes that will make you and others have more fun.  The crazier the better!

Will all the runners take off at the same time? No. Once the registration is final runners will be notified of their projected start time. The two primary waves will be at:
8:00 am and 11:30 am

Group times are guidelines; Participants may run with any group at any time if unable to run with designated team/school.

What should I bring ?
  1. Please bring a government issued ID card so that we can match your signed waiver to your registration.
  2. Bring your third string running shoes and know that they will get caked in mud.
  3. Bring a change of clothes, a dry towel, and some flip-flops or sandals so you can change following the run.
  4. Be sure to wear your costume or school colors.
  5. Consider putting your keys, cell phone, and money in a sealable bag. Place this bag and your change of clothes and a backpack or plastic grocery bag. There will be a safe place for you to store your items while you run at Gear Check In.
Will there be a place to clean up following the run? Yes. There will be hoses to help runners clean up following the run. Runners should plan to bring their own towel and a change of shirt, shorts and slip on shoes. There will also be a trash bin to throw out unwanted clothes following the race.

What do you do if it rains? Will have more fun! There are no plans to cancel the run because of rain.

How early should I arrive for the mud run?  We are glad that you are excited! We recommend that you show up at least 45 minutes before your start time. This will give you plenty of time to park, check in, drop of your gear at check in and get ready for the run.

Do you offer a military discount? Yes there is a discount for all active-duty members of the military. We thank you for your service.

Do I need to be in shape for this run? It is strongly encouraged that you be reasonable shape for this 3.1 mile run. It is okay if you choose to walk the course. It is also okay if you do not navigate each obstacle. It's up to you.

Do I need to be able to swim? No. Though you will enter Lake Hodges to ring the bell and run along the shore of the lake, at no point will you need to swim.
